The Sweeney (15)

An old 70s British TV classic gets the big screen treatment with Ray Winstone stepping into the role as Det. Insp. John Regan originally played by the late John Thaw and Ben Drew aka ‘Plan B’ as his sidekick Det. Sgt. George Carter originally played by Dennis Waterman. John Regan is the head of the London Flying Squad or the ‘Sweeney’ trying to hunt down a group of bank robbers. Det. Regan is foul mouthed and uses force by any means necessary to get the job done.  Surprisingly you will probably find that this film will become your ‘guilty pleasure’.
